America-Israel Cultural Foundation celebrates 80 years, and announces partnership with SNF

Nov 18, 2019
The America-Israel Cultural Foundation (AICF) is celebrating 80 years of providing continuous support to over 13,000 young Israeli artists, and creating a rich and enduring artistic legacy.
On November 17, 2019, as AICF celebrated its anniversary in New York City, the organization presented a new collaboration with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). This collaboration will enhance the work of young, talented artists from Greece and Israel supporting them in developing their artistry, both in their home country and worldwide.

Through the recent SNF grant, a three-year AICF pilot program will offer Greek artists scholarship opportunities at two top Israeli universities, at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University and Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In addition, the collaboration between AICF and SNF enhances a scholarship program for young artists from Israel, offering them the opportunity to study at distinguished academic and arts institutions around the world. SNF and AICF look forward to continue developing and establishing artistic partnerships between Greece and Israel and to cultivating this rich and impactful inter-Mediterranean dialogue.
