Presentation of the Ε-Ticketing System for Archaeological Sites, Monuments and Museums at the 83rd Thessaloniki International Fair

The official presentation of the e-ticketing system for archaeological sites, monuments and museums took place on Saturday, September 8th, 2018, on the first day of the 83rd Thessaloniki International Fair. The project is implemented with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and the National Bank of Greece, by the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Archaeological Receipts and Expropriations Fund.
The installation of the new e-ticketing and access control system was completed in July and it is already operational in Acropolis and archaeological sites of the historical center of Athens, Knossos and the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, as well as the archaeological site and museum of Ancient Messene. The online e-ticket purchasing service is also operational.
The e-ticketing system is expected to expand until the summer of 2019 to include almost all archaeological sites and museums in Greece.
