25 MAY 2017 / Madison Square Boys & Girl Club Harlem Clubhouse Groundbreaking

On Wednesday, May 24th, the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club (MSBGC) held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for their new Harlem Clubhouse in New York City.

The event was hosted by Poppy Harlow, co-Anchor of CNN Newsroom. Former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, attended the event and gave remarks. Additionally, Member of the Board of Directors, Bruce Gelb, read a letter from Former President of the United States, George H.W. Bush.

Joseph Patuleia, Executive Director of MSBGC, also gave remarks, along with Tom Murphy, Member of the Board of Directors, and Public Officials. Vasili Tsamis, COO of the SNF, participated in a shovel ceremony at the event.

The Madison Square Boys and Girls Club has been a grantee of the SNF for over ten years. The SNF has supported MSBGC in terms of programming and general operating, as well as capital support for the construction of the Harlem Clubhouse.
