2017 6th International Conference on Philanthropy

The 6th SNF Conference on Philanthropy took place from Wednesday June 21st to Friday June 23rd, 2017 at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

The Conference on Philanthropy explored the theme of Creativity, Imagination and the Importance of Reactivating Public and Ethical Spaces in a Highly Polarized Society. In addition to panel discussions that allowed for a theoretical approach to be explored and relevant discussion to take place, this year’s Conference was supplemented with break-out sessions, activities, musical and theatrical performances that gave participants the opportunity to actively engage in the theme’s exploration through a practical representation of how creativity can impact placemaking and the activation of public spaces.

The 6th SNF Conference on Philanthropy took place as part of the larger week of events organized by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation at the SNFCC from Sunday June 18th to Sunday June 25th.
