For the support of the KIKRI project, which includes two modern wooden lightweight construction day nurseries in St. Moritz and Samedan with a capacity of 26 children each. In addition, a day nursery for 16 children will be created in public facilities in Zuoz. This type of construction of day nurseries is a pilot project and might be used in other Swiss regions.

The Stiftung für das Kind im Oberengadin  (Foundation for Children in the Upper Engadine) is a non-profit organization created in 2003 to actively encourage children development , to provide support for children and parents in need, and to make suitable facilities, such as day care nurseries, available to those who need them. The Foundation collaborates with the association KIBE Kinderbetreuung Engadin, created in 1991, which manages two day nurseries in St. Moritz and Samedan, with a total capacity of 34 children. The nurseries are housed in rental apartments.
