Sightsavers International

This grant supports a new Regional Eye Centre in Gambia that provides improved facilities for people with visual impairments, including a tertiary referral center for sight-saving surgery and facilities for practical and theoretical training for ophthalmic staff; the Centre also acts as a coordination point and provides technical assistance to graduates of the organization’s training courses in planning and implementing district-level eye care services.
