Periplus

This grant supports an expedition in the Black Sea, covering a distance of over 3,200 miles from Greece through Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, and Bulgaria, to trace evidence of Greek presence in the area from ancient times to the modern era while promoting Greek maritime history and celebrating the Greek nautical tradition.
