I. and A. Diomidous Botanical Gardens

For construction of a prefabricated building to house the Center of Environmental Education.

The Center hosts programs on environmental education for students who visit the Athens Botanical Gardens with their schools.

The Gardens, established in 1952, cover an area of 1,860,000 square meters and maintain 2,500 plants from Greece and around the world. More than 200 schools visit the Gardens every year, with students ranging in age from very young children to technical High School students. Weekend visitors to the Garden are estimated at 40,000 each year.
