Charis Desinioti

Charis Desinioti has been a Program Officer at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation since 2012, and she focuses primarily on grant making activities in Europe and Africa. She has an academic background in Sociology, with a degree from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences in Greece and a Master’s degree in Applied Foreign Languages, with an international project negotiation specialization, from Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 University in France. Charis came to the Foundation after having worked for six years with nonprofit and international organizations (CLASP, BLIHR, EABIS, UNHCR internship) holding various roles in administration, research and communications, and project management mostly in Belgium and France. A native Greek speaker, she is fluent in English, French and Spanish and has a keen interest in human rights and business, sustainable development and creating thriving communities.
