Friends of Argo - Alternative Therapeutic Program for Dependent Individuals

For the purchase of equipment to enhance ARGO’s open community and social reintegration programs.
Friends of ARGO was set up in 2003 to support the ARGO rehabilitation program in every way possible – from fundraising to creating new partnerships and increasing awareness on addiction. ARGO, established in 1998, is an “alternative rehabilitation program” and part of the Psychiatric Hospital of Thessaloniki, serving beneficiaries from across most of northern Greece. It is an “open therapy” program, meaning that, although participants attend five days a week, they are required to carry out other activities during the day, such as participating in educational programs or are required to seek employment. It operates a guidance center, physical addiction rehab support, a therapeutic center, a social reintegration program, a temporary hostel and an awareness raising group.
