Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art

Program support
To support a special program designed to address unemployed people. This program aims to teach these people new skills in such areas as fine arts, photography, design, video art, and engraving.
The Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art was established in Thessaloniki in 1979. In 1982, it was granted to use a wing of the Filkeram-Johnson factory in order to house its collection. In 1984, the late Alexander Iolas, a well-known collector, donated works from his private collection in order to form the museum’s core collection.
