The Chapin School

To establish and support The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Fund for Global Academic Exchange and the Integration of Classical Studies in the Curriculum.  Chapin’s curriculum is focused on global education and the school offers many world language courses. The Chapin School’s Greek program includes student travel to Greece, educational partnerships with Greek schools, Greek cultural excursions in New York City, enhanced classroom resources, a lecture series and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation award to a student studying Greek. 
 
The Chapin School, founded in 1901, is an independent school for girls from kindergarten through 12th grade located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.  Chapin is committed to diversity and attracts students from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.  The student body reflects the racial, religious, cultural and economic diversity of New York City.
