For a reading project aimed towards the children of East Africa. The project intends to establish better reading facilities for children in a total of 23 schools and 6 public libraries in Tanzania and 6 public libraries in Kenya. It will provide a total of approximately 25,500 high-quality children’s books, plus more than 6,000 locally purchased books, including local language titles. In addition, the project will provide training for 96 primary school teachers and student teachers and for 42 librarians.

Book Aid International promotes literacy in developing countries by creating reading and learning opportunities for disadvantaged people, in order to help them realize their potential and eradicate poverty.
