Cambodian Children’s Fund

Program support
To support the Community Medical Clinic, a freestanding clinic housed within the organization’s Community Center compound. The clinic provides free, quality medical care for the impoverished children and families living in Steung Meanchey.  Many health problems, including water-borne and blood-borne illnesses and parasitic and respiratory infections, are common in both the child and adult populations of this district in Cambodia due to the hazardous living conditions.

The Cambodian Children’s Fund was founded in 2003 to provide education, health care, nutrition, safe shelter, and support services for children and families living and working in the impoverished settlements built around the edges of the Steung Meanchey garbage dump. Through their programs, young Cambodians  acquire the skills, confidence and integrity that allow them to help their own families and communities in an active way no other generation has before.
