Headway – the brain injury association

Capital Project
For acquiring a building in Basford for use by Headway Nottingham.  The building is fully accessible to the disabled. The new building will allow Headway to expand its support for brain injury survivors and to develop a UK training center to provide instruction to all Headway groups and branches.

In 1979 Headway was established in Nottingham as a registered charity by career professionals who felt that not enough was being done for patients with brain injuries. Headway’s mission is to promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide personal and professional support and services to people with a brain injury and to their families. Today Headway operates a network of 115 groups and branches across the UK and the Channel Islands, with a strong nucleus in Nottingham.
