Exhibition

For the 2010 exhibition, "Three Faiths: Judaism, Christianity, Islam”.  The New York Public Library’s exhibition will showcase 200 sacred texts that will explore the three religions’ common elements, including some of the world’s most rare, exquisite and significant printed books, illuminated manuscripts and texts. Public programming that will encourage discourse and education will be available for visitors of all ages and backgrounds.

Created in 1895, The New York Public Library provides free and open access to its resources, regardless of income level, religion, nationality or other human condition.  The New York Public Library is comprised of a set of scholarly research collections and a network of community libraries.  The research collections’ reference holdings number over 43 million items.  Across New York City there are 85 community libraries, which maintain extensive circulating collections.
