In addition to working as advisor and trainer to local or regional partners in projects, WaterAid undertakes policy work to champion the needs of poor communities living without water or sanitation. In each country where it works, WaterAid seeks to understand why people lack access to water and sanitation, develop effective ways of overcoming those barriers, and promote improvements.
