For water and sanitation projects and vocational training for people in the disadvantaged mountain communities of the Himalayas.
Tibet Heritage Fund (THF) will provide its support to the indigenous people of Leh, a community of about 25,000 inhabitants in the former Tibetan kingdom of Ladakh, and to the Tibetan monastery of Ragya in the Golok Autonomous Tibetan Prefecture in Qinghai, China.
Founded in 1993, the Tibet Heritage Fund works to preserve cultural and historical landmarks in Tibet, to provide vocational training and employment opportunities to indigenous Tibetans, and to improve living conditions by introducing running water, sanitation and other services to isolated communities. THF helps communities design and implement their own improvement projects by providing financial and technical support.
