The Stavros Niarchos Foundation offers a limited number of internships to qualified candidates interested in exploring the world of philanthropy and not-for-profit organizations. The internships provide the opportunity to gain insight into the operations of a philanthropic organization and to experience and understand the philosophy and work of different grantees/organizations that offer a variety of services and programs in the areas of arts & culture, social welfare, education, and health and medicine.
The SNF Internship Program involves interns in many different aspects of the Foundation’s activities and treats them as an integral part of the organization, allowing them to learn and acquire various skills as they participate in the Foundation’s work. Positions are available in all three offices of the Foundation, located in New York, Athens, and Monte Carlo.
Candidates must possess strong written and oral communication skills in English, as well as computer skills, and the ability to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment. Priority will be given to university students.
Kindly note that the Foundation receives a large number of applications from many qualified candidates for a very limited number of internship opportunities at any given time. SNF internships are available three times a year and are typically four to eight weeks long. All travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the intern. A modest stipend is provided. Applicant interviews, although not necessary, are welcome.
Applications are due 90 days prior to when an internship would begin.
Winter Period begins in January.
Summer Period begins in June.
Fall Period begins in October.
All applicants will be informed of the decision regarding their application 60 days before the beginning of the internship period they applied for.
