Marie Curie Cancer Care

Program Support

For support to the Marie Curie Helper Program. Marie Curie Helper is an innovative new project that trains and provides volunteers (Helpers) to visit people with a terminal illness, as well as their families and carers, to help them cope with the daily challenges they face with more confidence. The volunteers visit people in their own homes to provide practical advice and emotional support. Thus, people can spend their final days at home with the level of support and care they need.

The mission of Marie Curie Cancer Care is to care for people affected by cancer or other life limiting illnesses. The organization operates a national network of nurses who provide family support and in-home end-of-life care. It also runs hospices across the UK as well as centers for palliative care research.
