Rocking the Boat

This grant supports a boatbuilding collaboration with the Stevens Institute of Technology, as part of Rocking the Boat’s work offering low-income high school students in New York the opportunity to learn about boatbuilding, navigating, and sailing in after-school and summer programs. The collaboration will produce a full-scale replica of Colonel John Stevens’s Little Juliana, the first steam-powered ferry.
