The Lighthouse for the Blind was founded in 1946 with the aim of supporting blind people and promoting public awareness. Through the use of specialized equipment, the organization aims to assist the visually impaired to become socially and professionally active. Its primary goals are to raise awareness on the blind people’s capabilities and the everyday difficulties they are faced with; to enhance and further develop their skills; to provide access to social services to all; and to facilitate their continuous education and professional development, as a means of furthering their emancipation.
