Holy Metropolis of Veria, Naousa and Kampania

The grant supports renovation works and equipment procurement to upgrade the church’s kitchen. The kitchen is essential for the continuance of their Food Aid Program. The Church provides a Food Aid Program for Veria, operates a similar program, but on a smaller scale, in the city of Naousa, provides financial aid, as well as in-kind donations, to underprivileged families, runs a scholarship fund for students in need, and operates a summer camp for children. A large number of Veria’s Roma children benefit from these programs. Furthermore, the Prefecture of Imathia has a higher unemployment rate than the national average and so the need for the Church’s support is on the rise.
