Symposium of the Holy Church of Evangelistria of Nafplio

The grant supports upgrading of the church’s kitchen and laundry facilities, covering part of its operating expenses, and purchasing of all necessary packing materials for its Food Aid program. The Holy Church “Evangelistria” of Nafplio is very active in supporting the city’s ever-growing underprivileged population. Through the Food Aid Program, which is the only one operating in the area, 150 people are currently being fed, six days a week. Approximately 40 of these people are bedridden due to life-threatening illnesses or old age, and food is being brought to their homes. In addition, the Church provides 85 families with food mostly derived from in-kind donations. The Church collaborates closely with both the Municipality and the Prefecture.
