This grant supports the rebuilding of the Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Shrine at the World Trade Center, which was destroyed in the terrorist attacks in New York City on September 11, 2001, in order to restore its function as a focal point of Greek Orthodoxy and a welcoming space for people of all religions.
